China's crude oil output dropped 4.8 percent year-on-year to 100.45 million tons in the first half of 2016, the Xinhua News Agency reported Sunday, citing data from the National Development and Reform Commission.

China's oil companies plan to reduce output due to low crude prices. Sinopec, the largest refiner, plans to cut production by 7.5 percent this year.
