Liu Baocui of Beijing spent two years on her recreation of the Song Dynasty (960-2179) painting Along the River during the Qingming Festival completely from prepared sunflower seed shells. Liu completed six segments of the famed scroll painting, measuring a total of 13 meters. The painting depicts scenes of daily life in the Song capital, Bianjing, what is now Kaifeng, Henan Province.
