The Argentine navy rescued a team of US scientists and a contractor stranded in Antarctica after a US vessel was unable to reach them, released photos show. The ARA Almirante Irizaran was dispatched to pick up the five US scientists and a contractor on Joinville Island after the US Antarctic Program requested help from Argentina.
