The Met Gala, an invitation-only fund-raising event for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, is recognized as one of the most important events for fashion designers and celebrities around the world, with a different theme each year. This year's theme is “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, which encourages fashion designers to showcase how Catholicism influences fashion.
