A total of 1,400 freight trains have made journeys departing from Urumqi transport hub, a logistics center in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region under the Belt and Road initiative, as of July 24, 2018 since opening two years ago. At the start of operation, China-Europe freight trains ran once a week from the hub, but have since increased to three per day. (Photos: Xinhua)
