Over 500 relics made of iron, glass, porcelain, leather and other materials were found by Chinese archaeologists at a shipwreck in the northern part of the Yellow Sea near Dalian, NE China’s Liaoning Province, on September 25, 2018. According to the National Cultural Heritage Administration, the shipwreck is the warship Jingyuan that was sunk by the Japanese Navy during the Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895). The study of these relics will open new avenues for research into China’s modern history. (Photos: VCG)
