Editor's Note:
More than 15,000 poppies, hand-made by local craft groups, schools and care homes, are on display to mark the centenary of the end of First World War in the UK on November 6, 2018. The armistice ending the First World War between the Allies and Germany was signed at Compiègne, France, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. This Remembrance Day is paying special attention to this year, as it is the centenary. (Photos: VCG)
