The Philippines ended its 90-day national election campaign on May 7, 2016, which saw political hopefuls hold their "miting de avance," or rallies for their final appeals for support on Saturday night. Campaign activity has been banned as of midnight May 7. The 90-day national campaign saw candidates battle for over 18,000 offices from the presidency to local seats.
