The Wanda tourism village in the town of Danzhai in Southwest China’s Guizhou Province has driven 56,500 impoverished people out of poverty. With an investment of 2.1 billion yuan ($305 million), the town now has a vocational technical institute and a tourism village based on the culture and industries of the local Miao ethnic group.
