A huge prehistoric settlement near Jerusalem dating back to 9,000 years ago was discovered by Israeli archaeologists on July 16, 2019. The settlement was uncovered during archaeological excavations by the Israel Antiquities Authority. It is one of the largest of its kind in the region from the Neolithic Period or the New Stone Age.
