“I can't be detached from my country." This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The Global Times interviewed more than 30 proud Chinese residents based in Beijing and Shanghai, and explicated their understanding of the national flag and patriotism, and their expectations for China.
