Sport climbing challenge held for Beijing journalists

Organized by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and the China Sports Journalists’ Association, the First Journalists Sport Climbing Challenge was held in Huairou National Mountaineering Training Base in suburban Beijing on Saturday. Sixty-five journalists from 23 Beijing-based media outlets participated in the event. Sport climbing will make its Olympic debut in the Tokyo 2020 Games and Chinese climbers will try luck in the latest Olympic sport. The challenge was held to familiarize Chinese sports journalists with the sport event which is getting popular in the world as well as in China, according to the organizers.
