Hundreds of theater performers from home and abroad strolled through five public spaces of Xichang in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province for the city’s first international theater festival on Saturday. These street shows include Polish circus Tarabumba, magic shows, and a display of China’s rich cultural heritages from Peking Opera, Uyghur Muqam of Xinjiang, and Tibetan opera. The festival running until December 1 will see 312 theater works from eight countries staged across the city. Photos: Li Hao/GT
