Editor's Note:
Doctors of Tibetan medicine conduct diagnosis and treatment on Tuesday at the Beijing Tibetan Medicine Hospital. Built in 1992, the hospital is the only national-level ethnic hospital in Beijing. It now has three departments – cardiovascular, gastroenterological, and Lum medicinal bathing – and more than 20 Tibetan doctors. Tibetan medicine, known as Sowa Rigpa in Tibetan, is over 2,000 years old. It has absorbed influences from traditional Chinese, Indian, and Arabic medicine. (Photo: Li Hao/GT)
