Cuban revolutionary icon Fidel Castro died on November 25 (local time) in Havana, at the age of 90. He is considered to be one of the most admired and controversial leaders of the 20th century after defying the United States during a half-century of iron-fisted rule and surviving the eclipse of global communism. People from all around the world are holding memorials to mourn the former Cuban leader after his brother, President Raul Castro, announced his death on national television.
