Two abandoned zoo animals, a lion named Simba and a bear named Lola from Mosul, arrived at an animal rehabilitation shelter in Jordan on April 11. Most of the animals in the Mosul zoo were killed or died of starvation during the recent conflict between Iraqi forces and Islamic State (IS) fighters. Photos: Muhammad Hamed/CFP
