The clean, wide beach flirts with the blue sea, shining and shimmering under Dubai's warm sun all year round. A good number of luxurious hotels and restaurants stand along the beach, within the downtown area and in almost every corner of the city, ready to provide local and international meals for visitors. Dubai lives up to its international reputation as a shopping paradise, with stores offering everything from the time-honoured commodities of gold and spice to modern shopping malls. It is a city where the present mingles with the past and the traditional goes hand in hand with the modern. Visitors can have a large variety of experiences travelling in the desert and visiting historical sites.
