Editor's Note:
The Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests, which took effect 15 years ago, will soon face the first round of major revisions in some of its clauses. Liu Junhai, vice-president of the China Consumers’ Association, recently disclosed that consumers would be entitled the “right to regret” when purchasing houses, meaning that they could unconditionally cancel a deal before a certain deadline.
