Africa, the smallest contributor to global emissions, may face some of the worst consequences of climate change.

As a result, the African Union as a whole is requesting industrialized countries to cough up a whopping $67 billion a year.

This claim is unlikely to be tolerated by industrialized countries in Copenhagen at a time when they are still grappling with the financial crisis.

Let's hope that the needs of both justice and the environment can be met.
