The so-called China factor carries increasing weight in policymaking around the world, and many countries hope China can contribute more in global affairs, from bailing out the world economy to cooling down the heating earth. All these factors have put China in a position it is not used to and may bring pressure beyond its ability to deal with.
China's history, culture and social conditions have together formed the country's unique model.
Now, China must chart a fresh development course as it seeks to increasingly bring its population of 1.3 billion people into modernity.
History has not reached a final destination. It continues moving forward.
