Barca, Inter claim titles thanks to rivals

Only hours after Manchester United held onto a goalless draw against Arsenal at Old Trafford to secure their third consecutive English Premier League title, Inter Milan clinched their fourth Serie A win in a row and Barcelona hoisted the La Liga trophy for the first time in three years yesterday.

Ironically, the titles were all indirectly gifted by each team’s respective archrival in the league.

Yesterday’s results left only the German Bundesliga and the French First Division Champions undecided among the five major European leagues.
