3 Chinese swimmers suspended for doping

China's sports authorities on Tuesday announced that three swimmers, including a bronze medalist at the 2012 London Olympic Games, were suspended from competition due to doping.

Two men, Huang Chaosheng and Yang Zhixian, and one woman, Li Xuanxua - all of Central China's Hunan Province  tested positive for the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide in January, the General Administration of Sport said on its official website.

Li, the bronze medalist in the women's 400m individual medley at the London Olympic Games, and Huang were suspended for six months starting in January, and their eligibility for competition resumed on August 3. Their coach Feng Zhen was suspended from training athletes for one year.

Yang received a 1-year suspension.
