An East China man had to replace his BMW car's windscreen, which was damaged as he tried to kill a mosquito sitting on it on September 11.

The car owner surnamed Lou from Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang Province, pushed a napkin on his windscreen with five fingers to kill the mosquito and the glass cracked, local media 1818 huangjinyan, a program affiliated with Zhejiang TV reported on Sunday.

Video shows the spider web crack is about the length of an adult's forearm. It costs 8,000 yuan ($1,200) to replace the windscreen.

"Do I look like Hercules? If not, then the glass must be defective," Lou told local media. He carefully drove the car to a 4S store after the incident.

"I have never heard of this type of incident," the manager of the 4S store surnamed Huang told Zhejiang TV.

The store changed the windscreen for free and did a thorough inspection of the whole vehicle, Lou said three days after the incident.
