The Chinese People's Armed Police Force in the Tibet Autonomous Region conducted an anti-terrorism drill in recent days on the plateau at an altitude of more than 4,500 meters.

The drill was to test the soldiers' physical ability, agility and tactics when facing with complicated and severe natural environmental challenges and intensive warlike confrontations.

In the drill, four "terrorists" were fleeting to a mountainous region in a car.

The special operation force followed up promptly, and intercepted the terrorists at major intersections, according to the China Central Television.

When the "terrorists" escaped to the mountaintop, a sniper shot and "killed" a "terrorist," and the rest of the "terrorists" soon fled to a residential area at the foothills of the mountain.

An official of the corps said that the drill in the residential area, directly following the capture and fighting in the mountainous area, helped to test the soldiers' immediate response and ability to handle an emergency situation occurring in an uncharted region.

After investigating the situation, the troops marched toward a house where the "terrorists" hid.

All the "terrorists" were captured by the squad under the shield of smoke bombs in coordination with snipers.

According to another official surnamed Han, the drill this time was conducted at the most difficult level with real-war-like scenarios to test the soldiers' battle ability in emergency situations.
