It is really not a smart idea to change the terminus on your train ticket by yourself, even if you find that all the tickets to your desired destination are sold out. By doing so, a man was recently detained by police in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province.

The man surnamed Yang had to buy a ticket from Guoyang, East China's Anhui Province to Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province when he found out that all the tickets to Suzhou were sold out, according to WeVideo on Sina Weibo.

Yang then cut the word "Suzhou" from a previous ticket he had and stuck it onto the word "Zhenjiang," covering it with transparent tape.

The video shows that the ticket is poorly altered and one can easily find the word "Suzhou" written on a shoddy piece of paper and tape was also evidence of foul play.

A staff member at the Suzhou Railway Station later found that Yang's train ticket was varied and informed local police. Yang was detained for five days for his "cleverness."
