An undercover cop flagged down a passing motorcyclist telling him he was in pursuit of a criminal and needed a ride, which must have given the man a chill even though he played it cool to the end.

Officer Chang Hui in Yulin, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province didn't realize the man giving him ride, surnamed Zhang,  was a wanted on fraud charges until he serendipitously (for Chang) received a text message during the ride about a wanted man who exactly fit Zhang's description, according to a video posted by WeVideo on Monday.

While still on the back of Zhang's motorcycle, Chang slyly tells Zhang that his mission had been handled by other officers, and asks Zhang to return to where he had been picked up, which appears in the video to be in front of a cop shop.

At the end of the round trip, Zhang was immediately detained and police are continuing to investigate his case.

"What a warm-hearted fugitive! I feel sorry for him after so kindly helping the police officer," one netizen wrote.
