From Thursday to January 5, the exhibition "Wandering Back · Discovering the Arctic" will be open at Shanghai's People's Square subway station, supplemented by an oceanic environmental protection and Arctic-themed science exhibition.

The installation shows the situation in which marine litter represented by a "little yellow duck" drifts to the Arctic oceans and meets polar bears unexpectedly. It reflects the real status of urban garbage drifting into the sea and affecting marine ecosystems.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition is scheduled for Thursday at the People's Square subway station. Organizers, media, sponsors, and volunteers will be invited to launch the exhibition. They will participate in garbage sorting activities to promote oceanic environmental protection.

During the exhibition, a "recyclable plastic bottle" activity will be set up on site. Some plastic bottle recycling art devices will be displayed to collect plastic bottles from the public.

After the event, the recycled plastic bottles will be used in the art exhibition. Those participating in the event will have the opportunity to win prizes such as museum tickets, and other gifts provided by the organizer.

The Shanghai Metro, Norwegian Consulate General, and China Maritime Museum will synchronize offline and online promotion through public accounts on WeChat and Weibo, as well as other major media channels.

To promote sustainable winter tourism during the Christmas and New Year holidays, some themed activities have been designed with the official Weibo account, such as #check in Norway# and #Bottle sorting at People Square#, focusing on winter tourism, ocean environmental protection, scientific literacy and charity, which will hopefully trigger more efforts to save our oceans.
