Disappointed by YG Entertainment's indifferent attitude toward fans' calls for popular K-pop girl band Blackpink to increase the frequency of their activities, Blackpink fans, or BLINKS as they are also known, set up an electronic billboard displaying four demands on a truck outside YG Entertainment's office in South Korea on Monday.

After the hashtag BLINKSDemandForBLACKPINK took Twitter by storm on Monday, YG Entertainment released an official statement on Twitter that afternoon.

"YG is all ears when it comes to fans' concerns regarding BLACKPINK," the statement read.

However, the response was further criticized as being nothing but PR-speak by Chinese Blackpink fans, or C-BLINKS, on internet forums.

A loyal fan of C-BLINK since the group's debut in 2016 who preferred to remain anonymous told the Global Times that BLINKS have waited too long for new Blackpink music.

"The release of the statement was merely posturing and lacked sincerity. C-BLINKS have been writing letters to YG, but the company simply doesn't care," said the fan.

The four demands include releasing new music at least twice a year, helping the four members release solo projects, more variety show appearances and attending award ceremonies at the end of the year.

Popular around the world for their distinctive music videos, the number of the group's subscribers on Vlive, a South Korean streaming platform, reached 7 million on Monday.

"I'm very concerned that if they do not release new songs, some BLINKS will become distracted and won't follow the band anymore," said the Chinese fan.
