WayV, the Chinese sub-unit of South Korean entertainment agency LabelV's band NCT, have demonstrated their global popularity at a series of fan meets called "Section 1 We Are Your Vision" held in Bangkok, Seoul and Beijing.

Having released their first digital album The Vision in January, WayV has made remarkable musical achievements over the year, such as ranking high up on the iTunes charts and American Billboard with their new releases. After releasing their first mini-album Take Off in May, they quickly followed with a second mini-album Take Over The Moon in October.

Take Over The Moon consists of six tracks whose lyrics are a combination of English and Chinese. The music video for the theme song "Moonwalk" has earned more than 5 million views as of Monday on YouTube.

Band member Qian Kun, who goes by his stage name Kun, said in an interview with Billboard China that he hopes the band can promote Chinese songs and sing them for people around the world. Kun also said in the interview that his favorite lyric from their song is "wounds will heal after a few days," because it hints that "no matter what difficulties and struggles we are confronted with, we will be fine and become stronger if we overcome them later."

The band's fan meets have proven so popular that the hashtag #WayV_FANSIGNinBKK topped the Twitter trending list for Thailand during their visit there from December 14 to 16. On Sunday, fans in Seoul flooded social media with Polaroid photos of WayV members attending a fan meet in the city.

The newly formed band is not only immensely popular among fans, who are called WayZenNi, but has also earned professional recognition by winning Best New Asian Artist at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards(MAMA) on December 4.
