Chinese TV series Struggle, starring Chinese actors Tong Dawei, Ma Yili and Wen Zhang that first broadcast in 2007 in the Chinese mainland, has been broadcast on Myanmar's Channel Nine since January 12 and is set to air on the Sky Net International drama channel at 7 pm every night starting on Sunday.

The 12-year-old Chinese TV series, which has been dubbed into the Myanmar language, follows a group of graduates as they face the challenges of starting a career. The show's spirit of perseverance and willingness to fight for a better life are still admired in today's Chinese society.

According to media reports, the TV series has been introduced to Myanmar since the South Asian country is experiencing a similar development as China a decade ago. With the country's swift economic development and social reconstruction, many young Myanmar people have left their hometowns to work in big cities, just like the characters in the TV drama.
