After a long wait, Chinese netizens finally got to enjoy South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun's debut on the hit TV drama Crash Landing On You, starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin.

Kim appeared in the drama's 10th episode as a North Korean spy in South Korea whose appearance was very similar to his previous role in the film Secretly, Greatly.

"Kim Soo-hyun's iconic green tracksuit, bowl cut hair and his foolish smile is exactly the same as his character Bang Dong-gu in Secretly, Greatly from seven years ago. He can still speak with a perfect North Korean accent. No wonder he won a best actor award," one Chinese fan posted on Sina Weibo.

A video of South Korean singer and Girls' Generation member Im Yoon-ah, better known as Yoona, speaking Chinese while ordering dishes in a restaurant in Macao has gone viral on Sina Weibo.

"Do you think those dishes are enough for us?" "Is this hot and sour soup or spicy mala like the hot pot?"

Yoona, who just passed China's Intermediate Chinese Proficiency Test, asked a waiter in fluent Chinese in the video. After finishing the order, the clearly proud star said, "I've studied very hard."

"She is not only a pretty artist, but also a hard-working idol," one Chinese fan wrote on Sina Weibo.
