Lebanon's number of COVID-19 infections increased on Sunday by 415 cases to 20,426 while death toll went up by four to 191, the Health Ministry reported.

Parliament member Mohammad Kabbara said on Sunday that 20 percent of the people infected with the virus are in Tripoli, urging people in the city to take proper precautionary measures.

Kabbara also urged Caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan to secure COVID-19 tests and needed equipment for public and private hospitals in the city.

"Tripoli is about to witness a health disaster if the health ministry does not assist the city in the coming period," he said.

Lebanon has been fighting against COVID-19 since Feb. 21.

The country has received several donations from different countries for the fight against COVID-19 including China which offered on June 11 around 17,500 masks, 1,500 protective gears, 1,320 goggles and 1,000 shoes covers to Lebanese public hospitals.
