Chinese shuttlers flexed their muscles on Sunday, pocketing four of the five championships in the Philippine Open Badminton 2009 held at the Philsports Arena, Pasig City, Manila.

Zhang Nan and Lu Lu defeated compatriots Chen Zhiben and Zhang Jinkang 22-20, 21-19, granted the title of the Mixed Doubles division.

Defending Champion Zhou Mi from China's Hong Kong was outplayed by Wang Xin from the Chinese mainland in three games, yielding the crown of Women's Singles in the four-star tournament. Wang won the match 21-10, 12-21 and 23-21.

The Men's Doubles category was the only exception as Chinese players were edged out on Saturday in semifinals. The competition for the crown was only an "internal war" among Indonesian athletes.
