Yinlianzhui Waterfall, the mellowest waterfall in China

Yinlianzhui Waterfall is located in Tianxingqiao scenic area, seven kilometers from Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou Province. The Tainxingqiao scenic area, which is named after a natural rock bridge in the area, is a natural park boasting plants of various types and grotesque rocks. When the waterfall flows through the rocks slowly and softly, it looks like many pieces of white chains hanging from the mountain, giving it the nickname "the softest waterfall in China".

Hukou River, the largest yellow waterfall in the world

Located at the intersection of Shanxi Province and Shannxi Province on the Loess Plateau, Hukou Waterfall is the second-largest waterfall in China. Hukou means a teapot spout in Chinese. When the Yellow River flows through Jinshang Gorge, the river surface shrinks suddenly from 400 meters to 50 meters, so the river has to rush down from the small gorge, just like water that flows through the spout of teapot.

As the color of the waterfall is yellow, Hukou Waterfall has also been named "the largest yellow waterfall in the world".

Jingbohu Waterfall, the largest volcano waterfall in China

Jingbohu Waterfall is located at the junction of Jingbohu Lake and Mudanjiang River in Heilongjiang Province of northeast China. When the volcano erupted thousands of years ago, the magma solidified and blocked up the water in the upper reaches of Mudanjiang River and then formed Jingbohu Lake, which has an area of more than 90 kilometers. In the summer, the water concentrates at the outlet of Jingbohu Lake and flows down like thousands of white horses galloping and howling. The waterfall can be 300 meters wide and has a drop of more than 20 meters.

Mt. Lushan waterfall, the most poetic waterfall in China

Located in the Mt. Lushan scenic area in Jiangxi Province, people have been admiring the beauty of Lushan Waterfall for thousands of years, among which the Three Tier Spring is the most famous.

There is a saying, "One can never say that he has visited Mt. Lushan if he has not been to the Three Tier Spring."

Consisting of 22 waterfalls, 18 rapids, 14 lakes and ponds, the waterfall plummets 155 meters from the top of Wulao Mountain (Peak of Five Old Men), and comes to an abrupt end against the multi-tiered rocks at the cliff’s base, creating a misty and fantastic scenery.

Jiuzhai Valley Waterfalls: the purest waterfalls in China

Waterfalls are the essence of Jiuzhai Valley's scenery, among which Nuorilang Waterfall is the broadest one. The strong current washing over the cliff drops about 30 meters down before splitting off into many spectacular waterfalls of various shapes and sizes. Some of the water drops straight to the ground; in other places, it dashes against protruding rocks midway, exploding into millions of tiny, colorful water beads. Under the sunlight, rainbows rise over the waterfall.

Huangguoshu Waterfall, the largest waterfall in China

Huangguoshu Waterfall is located in southwest of An Shun City in Guizhou Province. As the largest waterfall in China and one of the grandest waterfalls in the world, it is about 77.8 meters high and 101 meters wide. Its water rushes down to Xiniu Pond (Xiniu) with thunderous roars which can be heard 5 kilometers away. During the flood season, the water rolls down to Xiniu Tan like thousands of horses galloping and shakes the ground and the hill. Consisting of 18 falls, Huangguoshu Waterfall has been listed as "the largest waterfall groups" in the world by Guinness officials.

Liusha Waterfall, the most exquisite waterfall in China

Liusha Waterfall is located in the west part of Hunan Province and has been named "the most exquisite waterfall in China".

With a fall of 216 meters, the waterfall can be seen from a far distance. The water plummets from the high mountain and then breaks into pieces of water at the bottom.

Walking behind the waterfall, tourists can enjoy the coolness from the water.

Detian Waterfall, the largest national waterfall in Asia

Along with the enhancement of friendly ties between China and Vietnam, the Detian Scenic Zone was established several years ago, and was so named for its spectacular Detian Waterfall.

Detian Waterfall is over 200 meters wide and has a drop of more than 70 meters. Its water rushes down a three-tiered cliff with tremendous force. It is the largest one in Southeast Asia, and the fourth-largest transnational waterfall in the world, connecting with another waterfall in Vietnam. Chinese and Vietnamese used trade around the lower reaches of the waterfall in ancient times.
