Built three years ago, the Chongqing Science and Technology Museum located next to the Chongqing Grand Theater in Jiangbei District will open to the public on September 9.

There are six themed exhibition halls named “science and technology in life”, “disaster prevention technology”, “traffic technology”, “national defense science and technology”, “aerospace science and technology” and “basic science”. In addition, there are two special areas named “children’s science park” and “the light of industries”.

Visitors will have fun in the “aerospace science and technology” themed exhibition hall where they can find out their weight on different planets and experience the life in outer space by putting on a spacesuit.

There will also be five robots in some rest areas. Some can play wuziqi with humans; some can be  a lie detector and some can draw pictures for visitors.
