In a friendly against Nacional, the Santos women's team won their first game in front of their home crowd on Sunday. In Marta's debut with the team, it was Cristiane who shined.

Marta scored in her first game at the Santos home stadium of Vila Belmiro. However, her fellow teammate and member of the Brazilian national team, Cristiane, scored on three occasions during the match, leading to Santos' 6-0 victory.

"It was very special to be able to score in my first game in front of the Santos fans," said the three-time MVP of the women's soccer world as bestowed by FIFA in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Santos' fullback Auina and the team's midfielder, Fran, scored the remaining two goals in their blowout against Nacional.

The game was in preparation for the first-ever female edition of the Libertadores Cup. The competition kicks off in the first week of October. Santos' first game in the continental-wide tournament begins on Saturday, October 3, against White Star at their home stadium.
