Brilliance Auto, the China-Africa Development Fund and Bavarian Auto Group (BAG) will invest $75 million to build Brilliance Egypt Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Brilliance Egypt Automotive Sales Co., Ltd in the Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone of Egypt.

The three sides signed the strategic alliance agreement in the Egyptian Prime Minister's Office in Cairo November 7. The agreement also said the two new companies will produce and sell Brilliance Auto sedans and minibuses.

Brilliance Auto will buy 80,000 square meters of land in the first stage to build the production line for sedans and minibuses. The three parties plan to build the companies in January 2010 and to complete the project by June 2011. The new factory will produce Brillance Auto's Zhonghua Junjie FRV, Zhonghua Junjie FSV, Zhonghua Zunchi , Zhonghua Junjie and Jinbei Haise. The annual output of the companies is estimated at 30,000 units a year.

In 2005, Brilliance Auto had cooperation relationship with BAG. The two sides produced and sold Brilliance brands by completely knock down (CKD) in Egypt and produced BMW brands in the same production line.
