The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security Tuesday published the handling of cheaters in the civil service exams. Anyone caught cheating will not be allowed to register for the exam for five years; if someone is determined as a serious offender, they will face a lifetime ban from taking the exam .

A new civil service exam information management system will be established to make the exam more transparent and fair, according to the State Administration of Civil Service. No details were released.

The next sitting for the civil service exam for positions in the central government and organizations directly under the central government will start on November 29. About 1 million applicants are expected to take the exam. Due to the current tough employment situation, many have opted to take the civil service route, resulting in thousands of applicants fighting for one position.
