Jilin paper-cut
Jilin paper-cut is an exotic art of China's folk paper-cut. Mrs. Zhang Chunying, an excellent paper-cutter, is praised as one of the "Ten Golden scissors", and her works are collected by the people from more than ten countries, including the USA, Japan, Australia, Singapore, India, France and Germany.
Jilin Folk Paper-Cut Center is the base in Jilin for R&D, processing and production of folk paper-cut, which focuses on promoting the folk paper-cut of paper-cut artists, such as Mrs. Zhang Chunying. Recently, this center is creating and developing the paper-cut works of Zhang Chunying etc. which are featured by the culture of Changbaishan and Heilongjiang.
Music of Jilin

errenzhuan (Bangzixi or Benbeng opera)
Jilin is a northeastern province of China. The region is home to many kinds of musical theater, especially opera. These include styles like Huanglong opera, Xincheng opera, Jilin opera and errenzhuan (Bangzixi or Benbeng opera).
Errenzhuan is a very popular kind of opera that evolved from a folk dance called dong bei da yang ge and folk songs like lian hua lao, a kind of ballad. Jilin opera is a recent invention, coming from 1959, while Fuyu county's Xincheng opera is based on Man octagonal drum music. The Huanglong opera of Nong'an county is based on shadow play.
Jilin's folk heritage include Han wind music and dongbei dagu (drum storytelling), yangge dancing music, the singing traditions of the Mongols, and Koreans.

Hongqi Korean Folk Custom Village
There are two folk custom villages which are recommended to tourists in Jilin Province to experience the rural culture in Jilin Province:
Hongqi Korean Folk Custom Village
Renowned as the first Korean village in China, Hongqi Korean Folk Custom Village, the National Grade AA Tourist Attraction, is situated at Hongqi village, Wanbao town, Antu county on the bank of Gudong River. The 86 families live here are all Korean, a minority in China. Locating on the Changbai Mountain tour route, the village has picturesque sceneries while the villagers are simple and sincere.
Changbai Korean Folk Custom Village
Changbai Korean Folk Custom Village, a National Grade AAA Tourist Attraction, is situated in the southeast of Changbai Korean Autonomous County in Jilin Province. It has a long history of growing fruit trees and earned its reputation of large fruit gardens and good fruit quality.
Changbai Korean Folk Custom Village, with a total area of 2.3 square kilometers, is inhabited by 92 families among which 68 are of Korean minority, taking up 74 percent of the whole. Changbai Korean Folk Custom Village fully impregnates the traditional customs and styles of the Korean minority, blending in a perfect way the Korean culture, the Changbaishan Mountain Culture, the Yalu River Culture and the rural environment, pastoral scene and the town life.
