The United States women's volleyball squad will leave Colorado Friday for China to face their former coach's undefeated professional team in an exhibition match.

The Americans, now guided by New Zealander Hugh McCutcheon, will play Wednesday at Guangzhou against Evergrande, which is coached by Lang Ping, in a match that celebrates the 30-year Sino-US women's volleyball rivalry.

Evergrande went 12-0 in its inaugural campaign and will rise to the Chinese league's top division next season.

Team Evergrande features former Chinese national team's captain Feng Kun, Zhou Suhong, Yang Hao plus Christa Harmotto and Nicole Davis of the US squad, which took a silver medal at the Beijing Games.
