Well-known host of Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) Stephen Chan Chi-wan along with two other TVB senior employees were arrested Thursday morning in an Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) probe involving bribery.

TVB confirmed that three of its employees were under investigation and detained on suspicion of corruption by ICAC Thursday. But the TV station would not reveal the names.

TVB spokesman Tsang Sing Ming told the media that the work and duties of the three employees have been suspended, but declined to reveal detail information on the three detainees.

But local media reported that Chan, the general manager of TVB who is also host of a program called Be My Guest where interviews Hong Kong celebrities, was on the detention list.

Chan was previously an administrative officer in the Hong Kong government before joining TVB in 1994. He was promoted to assistant general manager of Television Broadcasting at TVB in April 2002 and became general manager of Broadcasting in April 2004.
