Love River (爱河)
Love River is the spine of Kaohsiung, playing a similar role to the River Thames of London. It is of great cultural significance to the people of Kaohsiung and plays an important role in its economy and tourism. A riverside park, the Love River Park, runs along the riverbank in downtown Kaohsiung.
A night market operates in the park, and there are three outdoor cafés, often with live bands. Boats which hold about fifteen people take tourists up and down the river. The scenery is enhanced by attractive city structures near the river, such as the Holy Rosary Cathedral, Kaohsiung Bridge, and the Kaohsiung District Court. Cultural events such as concerts and the Lantern Festival are often held by the river.
Location: It originates in Renwu township, Kaohsiung county, and flows 12 kilometers (8 miles) through Kaohsiung to Kaohsiung Harbor in southern Taiwan.

Shoushan (寿山)
It was named Ape Hill by the Dutch in the 17th century to describe many monkeys on this mountain. It is also called Chaishan (柴山) and actually includes the Snake Hill (蛇山 - a 17th century term) in its northern part, and Long Life Hill in the southern part. Now it is a nature park where biological diversity can be seen.
There is an extensive system of boardwalk hiking trails that circle the mountain. Hikers can enjoy tea at various tea stations sprinkled throughout the trails. Water is carried to the tea stations by hikers who bring it from a reverse osmosis station at the bottom. From the tea station at the top of the mountain, hikers can see views of the Taiwan Strait through the trees.
The mountain is a reserve for rock macaques. Thousands of these monkeys reside on the mountain pestering hikers who have food with them. The mountain is also home to packs of wild dogs who sometimes fight with the monkeys though they always loose.
Location: It is located at western side of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to the north of the main entrance to Kaohsiung Harbor.

Kaohsiung Fisherman's Wharf (高雄港æ¼äººç 头)
The Kaohsiung Fisherman's Wharf is originally the No.2 port of the port of Kaohsiung, and its previous function was exporting bananas, wood and steel. However, because of the transformation of economy and container automation, the function of the port was declining gradually.
Fortunately, the government promotes the tourism industry in these years, so the No.2 port could get the chance to become a sightseeing wharf, which combines beautiful seaside scenery and find food, and the name of the wharf changes into a more cultural one as the Kaohsiung Fisherman's Wharf.
Nowadays, it has become one of the outstanding city scenic spots that follows the successful step of The Urban Spotlight and Love River.
