Shanghai Automobile Industry Corporate (SAIC)'s Roewe is to unveil four versions of the W5, its first SUV, at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The overall design incorporates some elements of the model Shuanglong Xiangyu.

Roewe W5 will use either 1.8T Kavachi Turbo-charged engine with a maximum of 160 hp and 215 Nm, which equips Roewe 550 and MG6, or the 3.2L engine that powers Shuanglong Xiangyu. The 3.2L engine is equipped with a five-speed manual/automatic gearbox.

The high trim models are also equipped with panoramic sunroof, DVD display screen and leather-coated seats.
