
The renovation of Chengde Mountain Resort and its surrounding temples has initiated, and 600 million yuan (about $91 million) will be made at disposition by the central government.
The budget will be used on protection of cultural relics (5.2 million yuan) and renovation of water ambient (80 million yuan). It will be reshaped by 33 experts who will make tailored plans for different aspects of the work.
Known as the world's largest existing imperial garden, Chengde Mountain Resort was listed by UNESCO on its list of World Heritage Sites in 1994.
