The recently shown movie "Buddha Mountain" (Guanyin Mountain) acted by Fan Bingbing and Berlin Chen provides great box office return these days. At the same time, the Guanyin (the Goddess of Mercy) Mountains which enjoy the same name with the movie in China become one of the popular destinations.

Lingyan Guanyin Mountain, Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province

Located four kilometers to the northwest of Dujiangyan city, and near to Erwang Temple, Lingyan Guanyin Mountain is the filming location of the movie Guanyin Mountain. The mountain is home to Confucianism and Daoism.

Lingyan Guanyin Mountain is luxuriantly green and beautiful. It is a good place with singing birds and fragrant flowers. The longest aerial cableway in China spans between the mountains. Taking the cableway, visitors can have a bird's-eye view of Dujiangyan and the well-known Dujiangyan Irrigation Project.

Transportation: take bus No.1 from Dujiangyan and get off at Lingyan Guanyin Shan (Lingyan Guanyin Mountain).

Guanyin Mountain, Dongguan, Guangdong Province

Located in Zhangmutou town, Dongguan city, Guangdong Province, Guanyin Mountain is the 4A tourist spot combing sightseeing, entertainment and religious culture into one. The forest covers 99 percent of the area.

The mountain boasts rich negative ions and rare plants and animals. The largest concentration of waterfalls in Dongguan is found in the area. Besides, the biggest basalt statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva in the world, standing on the mountain top, is regarded as a rare stone carving of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) style.

Guanyin Mountain, Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province

Guanyin Mountain is the eastern peak of Shugang in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. It is the relic of Milou Tower in Sui Dynasty (581–618). From Yuan (1279–1368) to Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, the present Guanyin Temple is the ruins of Guangxu's rule in Qing Dynasty.

Guanyin Temple is built along the mountain contour. There is a Ziru Wood which makes the area delightfully calm and fresh.

Guanyin Mountain, Xiamen, Fujian Province

Xiamen Guanyin Mountain is located facing Jinmen in Fujian Province across the sea. It is surrounded by Fragrant Mountain, Jishan Mountain and Huzi Mountain. The major scenic spot in the area is Guanyin Sand Sculpture Park, which is at present the largest sand sculpture park in China and Asia. A lot of colorful activities such as National Beach Volleyball Competition, International Kite Culture and Beach Culture Festival are held there.

Guanyin Mountain, Taipei, Taiwan Province

Taipei Guanyin Mountain is located to the west of Danshui River of Taipei Basin. It is made up of eighteen peaks. The main peak is Yinghanling. In the scenic area, there are Shidiao (stone carving) Jingguan Park, Lingyun Temple, Guanyue (Moon-appreciation) Platform, Dharma Cave, Kaishan Garden and Taige Garden.
