David Svoboda from Czech Republic won the men's gold medal at the Modern Pentathlon World Cup held in Szazhalombatta, a small town near Budapest, Hungary on Sunday.
Svoboda won 5842 points to take the gold. Pavlo Tymoschenko from Ukraine won 5804 points to claim silver medal. Woojin Hwang from South Korea came third collecting 5800 points.
Edvinas Krugolcas from Lithuania finished in 4th place, Adam Marosi from Hungary in 5th place.
The event was the third of a series of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup competitions this year. The Szazhalombatta competition opened on Thursday, attracting 104 men and 74 women pentathletes from 36 countries.
Aya Medany from Egypt won the women's gold medal on Saturday.
