Qingchuan Earthquake Museum to open on May 12

The photo taken on April 19, 2011 shows the exterior of the Qingchuan Earthquake Museum in Qingchuan county, Southwest China's Sichuan Province. The Qingchuan Earthquake Museum will open to the public on May 12, 2011, the 3rd anniversary of "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake. The museum, covering an area of 5,500 square meters, has a main building of 2 storeys and an auxiliary buiding of 3 storeys, with 10 exhibition halls. The museum is set up to commemorate the victims of the devastating Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 which left more than 80,000 people dead or missing. Photo: Xinhua
