Geely's former president and CEO Yang Jian has been appointed to the board of directors on December 29 last year, where he has assumed the role of full-time deputy chairman. While the group's former vice president An Conghui has been promoted the positions of president and CEO.

In May 2007, Geely announced the Ningbo Declaration to resolutely implement strategic transformation. The company had successfully achieved its two stated goals about strategic transformation depending on the joint efforts of Geely staff under the leadership of the business management team, the core of which was Yang Jian. Walking out of price wars, Geely went into battles for technology, quality, brand, service and business ethics, which all had achieved significant success. The company's three sub-brands, namely Emgrand, Gleagle and Englon, have not seen steady growth in production and sales volumes, but also enjoyed high customer satisfaction and great technological breakthroughs.  Geely Panda, Emgrand EC7 and Emgrand EC8 have all achieved 5 Stars on C-NCAP Test, and their scores keep refreshing the records made by Chinas' self-owned brands. Emgrand EC7, representing Geely's successful transition from "Technology Geely" to "Quality Geely", received 4-star rating in Euro NCAP safety Test Program and became a milestone in China's auto security field.

The board of directors of Geely Holding Group thinks highly of Yang's work during his tenure as Geely's president. Yang had taken charge of Geely's president for eight years, during which Geely experienced its fastest development period. During the eight years, Geely's production and sales volumes has increased by 4.6 times, sales revenue has increased by 5.5 times, total assets has increased by 6.4 times and its profit has increased by 8 times. Geely has been one of China's top 500 enterprises for 8 consecutive years, and has been ranked in the list of China's top 10 car manufactures. Under Yang's leadership , Geely accomplished a series of overseas acquisitions, which made Geely the first multinational corporation in China's auto industry.

Geely's strategic transformation will step into the third phase in 2012, and the board plans to have Geely, which is expected to enjoy global influence and international competitiveness three to five years later, ranked in the list of the Fortune 500. In order to achieve the goal, effectively promoting the company's strategies, forming a modern enterprise management and organizational structure and strengthening the leadership of the board are the keys. The company believes Yang, as the full-time deputy chairman of the board of directors, will guide Geely to become a healthier and sustainable enterprise with global perspective.

An Conghui, the new president and CEO of Geely, has been working in Geely after graduating from university thus he has rich grass-roots work experiences. He has made a great contribution to the company's products development and brand building during his tenure as the deputy president of Geely, the general manager of Emgrand Motor Company and the general manager of Power Train Company. The board of directors of Geely expects much from An, and hope he will lead Geely's management team and the staff to win more splendid victories on the scope of Geely's strategic transformation.
