The national Italian football team has transitioned from a team  once famous for its handsome players to one now known for its superior football skills. The team probably should be held responsible for the sharply reduced number of its female spectators and its television ratings during Euro 2012. What’s more, the performances of Mario Balotelli and Antonio Cassano have greatly triggered interest on several cross-talk shows, comedy sketch programs and also with drama lovers who follow football matches which involve Italy. It is said that even some philosophers have started to pay attention to the team.

Balotelli, the rising star striker from the new English Premier League champions Manchester City, stunned the world in the 54th minute when he broke free for a solo run through a tackle. But he hesitated at the goalmouth without any clear action during the Group C match at the Euro 2012 football championships in Gdansk, Poland, on June 10, 2012. It was at that moment when a chasing defender was able to dash Balotelli’s clear chance for a goal.

@-AlexMercer: I am not a fan of shows which involve cross-talk, sketches or drama. I am interested in the Italian team just because of Balotelli. I don’t joke about him. Honestly, I believe he is a special and talented football player. He still could even score for Italy at a crucial moment during the elimination game.

@那个谁的谁的谁:
When Balotelli hesitated at the goalmouth without any clear action, the whole world was quiet.

@猫咪冬眠: Actually, I feel that Balotelli is only a simple guy, but sometimes he is capable of doing something which is often unimaginably strange.
