Zimbabwe will host an international handball coaching course, the first ever in the country, this month.

Over two hundred handball coaches from several African countries such as Zambia and Malawi, are expected to attend the International Handball Federation coaching course to be held in four different parts of the country.

The course, aimed at enhancing the capacity of coaches in the junior ranks, will be conducted by International Handball Federation instructor Helmut Marten from Germany.

Zimbabwe handball Federation President Amon Madzvamuse quoted by state radio on Wednesday said the world governing handball body awarded Zimbabwe the right to host the coaching course, which will be graced by a host of coaches from other countries in the region, because of its impressive junior development program.

"Over 200 coaches from Zimbabwe and beyond will take part in the coaching course. We also have coaches from Zambia and Malawi who have confirmed participation," said Madzvamuse.

The IHF coaching course will be held in Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare and Kwekwe from the 16th to the 30th of this month.
